First, In a couple of weeks, I will get my motorcycle license. Hubby doesn't like this. Hopefully, I'll have enough money saved by the end of the year or early next year to buy a commuter bike or scooter. Nothing fancy. Just something to get around on in Japan.
Which brings me to my next news.
We have a date for our PCS! It's mid-August, but that is all I can post publicly until it happens. It's just nice to know that everything is falling into place. I've already told close family and friends the exact date, so they know what to expect. I haven't really started packing yet. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to get my dog over there since there was no room on our flight. I called United and a bunch of other airlines, but United is the only one who can fly directly to our new base, and we can't book his flight until 7 days before the date we want. So more waiting.
At least I have my books, my birthday, and those 3 days of motorcycle training to keep me busy in July. And packing, lots of packing. We really are excited. Wish us luck!
