**UPDATE June 2012: We have been here for 10 months. I'm a proud member of The Blitzkrieg Betties of The Devil Dog Derby Dames, a roller derby league. Im making a lot of new friends who are military women and spouses. Corey is also making friends from work. We have been to a few sites on island, but have so much more to see. At least I'm not intimidated driving off base any more.****UPDATE: We have arrived in Okinawa and are enjoying the warm weather and sunshine. I look forward to emersing myself in life here at Kadena, and enjoying what the island has to offer. **
Since I am moving to Japan this summer, I made this blog to display pictures and updates of our new home for friends and family to see, and blog about what I will be doing to stay occupied. This will probably amount to a lot of reading and movie watching since I am not a big out doors person and neither is my husband. We will try to see the island and cities, however. With the excitement we will be feeling when we first arrive, we should get out of the house to site-see a little more than usual. Who knows, maybe we will become outdoor people after all. Definitely look for lots of pictures around August.
